Profile:
As a coach/instructor Simon motivates athletes to maximize their potential by creating an innovative approach to teaching using various learning skill style’s in appropriate situations. Players are pushed to new limits, challenged mentally and physically and they develop existing skill sets, whilst learning new ones.
Simon is extremely determined to succeed personally and through the players he coaches. He has high expectations of himself as a coach and of those who play for him. Simon has played rugby for more than 25 years, in Ireland and Arizona , predominantly at fly-half and fullback. His 6 years of coaching experience spans different age groups, skill levels and positions – Assistant / Backs Coach and Head Coach.

- Phoenix Storm Men’s Rugby , Head Coach, 2008–09
- Southern California Senior Women’s Griffins, Head Coach, 2005-08
- Southern California Senior Women’s Griffins, Backs Coach, 2004
- Scottsdale Lady Blues, Assistant / Backs Coach, 2004-08
Noteable Achievements:
- Promotion from Tier B to Tier A with S.C. Griffins (2007, 2010)
- 3 Griffins Players selected for USA Eagles Camps
- 1st win with Southern California Griffins at Nationals for 6 years (2006)
- 2 Consecutive League Championships with Scottsdale Lady Blues
